Nightlife Learning Center
Tutoring
Nightlife Center is presently recruiting qualified professionals and honor students to be available after school for tutoring in most High School subjects. The program, which will be available when school begins in the fall, already has the backing of several principals and teachers in Sarasota high schools.
In the near fuiture, it will also have a College Assistance Program, which, with qualified personnel, will guide students through the college choice, application and financial assistance process. Eventually, there will be SAT prep available as well.
Mentoring
Educated, skilled adults provide mentoring for students in career and education direction, all of whom have gone through full background checks. There will be teachers, business people, pastors and counselors.
Through donations and grants, Nightlife Center hopes to make the Tutoring, Mentoring and College Assistance Programs available to all students regardless of income level.
Awareness
Nightlife staff will be conducting scheduled, informational seminars for both parents and students in a variety of subjects. Topics will include “Spotting Trouble with Your Child”, “Family Crisis Management” and “My Home Life is Unbearable”. A facilitator with expertise in the subject will inform and create discussion within the group. These seminars will be an important first step for parents or students who feel they need help.
